POSITION: Senior Mechanical Engineer - Heat Transfer
REPORTS TO: Jason Garlitz
LOCATION: Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania
WORKING HOURS: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

GENERAL SUMMARY:
Fully design and develop a Heat Transfer product line based on marketing requirements and sales specifications. Work with other teams in the organization to provide a product design that can be manufactured and assembled in a competitive and cost effective manner while maintaining product integrity.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with limited direction to apply engineering principles to design and develop Heat Transfer products from a marketing plan, general verbal instructions, sketches, and or existing models.
- Responsible for all heat transfer new product engineering functions including but not limited to: design new products based on performance and cost requirements, system calculations and technical details, all technical product documentation, product performance, etc.
- Direct resources on product design and documentation tasks as required.
- Participate in cross functional teams to ensure product meets market requirements (content, performance and cost), evaluate potential component suppliers, streamline assembly and fabrication processes, etc.
- Maintain current heat transfer product line and the new product line when released.
- Provide technical support to sales, service, fabrication and assembly.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
- 3 – 10 years experience in Heat Transfer product design and product manufacturing.
- Experience with sizing and application of refrigeration systems, water systems and related components (heat exchangers, refrigerant controls, compressors, water pumps, etc).
- Knowledge of commonly used Engineering concepts, practices and procedures within the mechanical design field.
- Experience with 3D modeling and software, preferably SolidWorks. Experience with AutoCAD not required but would be a plus.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Good “hands-on” mechanical ability.
- Knowledge of current refrigerants required, EPA section 608 certification a plus.
- Knowledge of common piping and brazing techniques.
- Extensive experience with MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Occasional travel as job requires.
