NPE Recommendations – Favorite Watering Holes

Two weeks ago, we shared our favorite places to eat. Last week, we shared our favorite nightlife/entertainment activities. This week, we are pleased to share our favorite watering holes in the Orange County Convention Center area.

The Pub Orlando. 9101 International Dr #1003, Orlando, FL 32819. (407) 352-2305
Alan Landers
Product Manager
“British fish and chips or shepherd’s pie, international beer, and outdoor seating – I love to go to The Pub Orlando at least one night. Just like any British pub, the ambience is outstanding. Comfortable, yet totally interesting. Feel like you’re in a home pub in England, right in Orlando. Amazing pour-your-own beer taps, and all the staff wears kilts. Great for embarrassing photo ops with co-workers.”

Diamond Crown Cigar Lounge. 127 S Orange Ave, Orlando, FL 32801. (407) 404-5344
Sam Rajkovich
President – Sales & Marketing
“Ready to sign that big deal? Meet me at Corona Cigar Company and Diamond Crown Cigar Lounge for a Cigar out of their huge humidor and a bourbon or a scotch if that’s your thing. Lounge outside on the porch or inside in the bar, either way, this low key place is perfect for a relaxing evening.”

Hilton Orlando. 6001 Destination Pkwy, Orlando, FL 32819. (407) 313-4300
Chad Stover
Marketing Communications
Manager
“To me, once my day is done and I have a chance to sit down, I like to relax near my hotel room. I enjoy spending time at the Hilton pool, with the attentive pool bar staff. They offer any type of alcoholic or non-alcoholic drink (terrific fresh lemonade after a hot day). Prices are what you’d expect from a hotel bar, and it’s an outstanding place to give your feet a break. The pool is always the perfect temperature, and it’s a nice place to relax. “

Orena Sports Bar. 6159 Westwood Blvd, Orlando, FL 32821. (407) 370-0303 (407) 934-2583
Larry Doyle
President
“Just because we’re in Orlando doesn’t mean I don’t still need to get my sports fix. In May, there’s baseball, basketball playoffs, hockey playoffs, and the French Open. Lots to see at this great sports bar. If you’re as much into playing as watching, enjoy some ping pong, darts and pool while grabbing a good drink. Prices are reasonable.”

Ruth’s Chris. 7501 W Sand Lake Rd, Orlando, FL 32819. (407) 226-3900
Bill Hricsina
International Business Manager
“I typically don’t go out at night during the show, I like to head back to my room to catch up on e-mails and have a quiet evening. But on the few occasions I have gone out I prefer Ruth’s Chris, great food and drinks.”
