Your loader screen is one of the most vital components of your material handling system, playing a key role in maintaining efficiency and ensuring uninterrupted material flow. Dust, fines, and debris can accumulate on the screen over time, restricting airflow and reducing performance. To keep your loaders running smoothly and your processes on track, regular screen cleaning is essential. Conair is here to help you do it.
What to Look For
Check for these early warning signs that indicate it’s time to clean your loader screen:
- Visible dust buildup on the screen
- Slower or unsteady material flow
- Longer run times
- Unusual “strained” sound, indicating restricted airflow
Screen Cleaning Procedure
1. Disconnect the compressed air to the loader.
(Caution: Wear eye protection. If you use compressed air to clean the equipment, you must wear eye protection and observe all OSHA and other safety regulations pertaining to the use of compressed air.)
(Caution: Before performing maintenance or repairs on this product, you should disconnect and lockout electrical power sources to prevent injury from unexpected energization or start-up. A lockable device may be provided to isolate this product from potentially hazardous electricity.)
(Warning: Before removing lockout devices and returning switches to the ON position, make sure that all personnel are clear of the machine, tools have been removed, and all safety guards reinstalled.)

2. Loosen the lid fasteners and remove the lid. On an AR, lock the lid in the “up” position.
3. Once all the dust is removed, inspect the screen and gasket for any tears or damage. If the filter has any tears, is blinded by media, or is distorted in any way, it should be replaced immediately.
4. Once the screen is clean and inspected, place the screen back in the loader and make sure the seal is properly seated.
5. Replace the loader lid and tighten the fasteners.
