TrueBlend™ TB-T

Compact Design with High-Precision Batch Blending

The TrueBlend® TB-T is a gravimetric batch blender manufactured by Conair and designed for precise material blending in plastics processing applications. It is used by small-part molders and processors who require accurate batch blending of resins, regrind, and additives at low throughputs. As part of Conair’s TrueBlend product line, the TB-T combines a compact footprint with consistent blend accuracy and easy integration into injection molding and extrusion operations.

The TrueBlend® TB-T is a compact gravimetric batch blender developed specifically for small-part molders that require precise material dosing at very low throughputs. Manufactured by Conair, the TB-T delivers accurate batch blending of up to four ingredients, with throughput rates ranging from 1 lb/hr to 100 lbs/hr and blend accuracy of ±0.5 percent. Blend accuracy is an astonishing ½ of 1 percent. At less than 24 inches tall, this compact batch blender mounts easily on a machine throat or a press-side cart for use as a central color additive blender.

The TB-T is engineered for both high blending precision and ease of maintenance. It is equipped with a 7-inch LCD touchscreen control that features Conair’s “common control” interface for quick and easy setup. Its microprocessor control can manage multiple loaders and pumps. Like larger Conair blenders, the TB-T relies on “feed forward” dosing, using multiple small dosing cycles to deliver a more precise material mix into the weigh chamber prior to mixing. The control calibrates after every dosing cycle to compensate for variations in dispense method, resin bulk density or particle geometry.

Features

Fast Material Changeovers Without Removing Loaders

The TB-T bins are independent from the framework of the blender. So loaders and receivers can remain mounted to the top of the machine, while the material bins are easily removed for cleanout and resin changes.

Accurate Dosing Across Ultra-Low and Higher Throughputs

With a blend accuracy of ½ of 1%, the TrueBlend TB-T gives you the dosing and batch accuracy you’d expect from a gravimetric blender, but in a much smaller package. The footprint of this blender is shockingly small.

Intuitive Touchscreen Control for Simple Setup and Operation

Intuitive 7-inch touchscreen control with full color graphics allows quick and easy setup of the blender setpoints. All setpoints are displayed simultaneously. Enter the percentages of the blend on the touchscreen and the blender does the rest. The system automatically weighs the recipe ingredients in the proper sequence and maintains the correct blend relationship. Any position can be identified as one of the four material type selections, adding flexibility to your application setup. And the TrueBlend control is part of the “common control” family, meaning that user experience and screen navigation matches that of other Conair equipment – for easy training and operation by even the most novice processors.

Conair auxiliary equipment accessories
Air blow-off for mix chamber level sensor

This feature is integrated into the blender mix chamber to blow excessive dust and fines away from the mixing chamber sensor and ensure accurate level sensor reading.

Frequently Asked Questions

The TrueBlend® TB-T is designed for plastics processing applications that require accurate batch blending at low throughputs. It is commonly used in injection molding and extrusion operations, particularly for small-part molding where precise material ratios are critical.

The TrueBlend TB-T can batch blend virgin resin, regrind, and color or additive materials. It supports blending of up to four ingredients, making it suitable for a wide range of plastics manufacturing recipes.

The TrueBlend TB-T delivers gravimetric batch blending accuracy of ±0.5 percent. Its feed-forward dosing system and automatic calibration after each dosing cycle help maintain consistent blend accuracy, even when material characteristics change.

The TB-T features material bins that are independent of the blender framework. This allows bins to be removed easily for cleaning or resin changes while loaders and receivers remain mounted on the machine, reducing downtime during material changeovers.

Yes. The TrueBlend TB-T uses a 7-inch touchscreen control with Conair’s common control interface. This provides a consistent user experience across Conair equipment and allows even less experienced operators to set up and run the blender with minimal training.

Options

Conair auxiliary equipment cable
Remote HMI operator cable

Place the SB-5 control up to six meters away with convenient plug-in cable set.

Conair auxiliary equipment accessories
Remote mixer demand sensor

This sensor provides a fill-to level option in a surge bin\or other material receptacle that sits below a remote mounted blender.

LAC
Material level alarm control

Eliminate costly material shortage problems and machine downtime with this early warning system. The control monitors up to six material levels. Each sensor can be set as a high or low warning. See Level Alarm Control specification sheet.

Drain chute

For fast, safe, thorough and simple blender draining prior to cleanout. The drain chute quickly installs over the blender front opening.
